Graphic Design Showcase

“You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand.”
Woodrow Wilson (1856 – 1924)

I love being challenged by whatever project I undertake. I really enjoy being able to collate my illustrative and technical abilities.  I also really enjoy being given a project where I can showcase the skills I have been working on.

I began my career by earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at The University of Auckland. The curriculum included classes in life drawing, illustration, graphic design, package design, costume design, photography and a series of papers in art and design history. It was a great base and I just itched to get out into the industry after completing my qualifications.

I entered the industry from the ground up and spent a few years in the signage industry gaining a wide variety of skills in many arrears of design and practical application skills. I was responsible for running a large format digital printer which gave me an excellent base in colour-matching and pre-pressing. I then moved onto a small boutique agency in Rotorua called Zeroseven where I gained a lot of experience in the print industry. I think that this unique variety of experience has given me an edge or an opportunity to take advantage of a niche market where advertising, creative design and art, and the practical application of branding all can meet.
